Fine old German violin around 1920s / 1930s. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling.

T his beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received newly fitted elder ebony pegs, ebony tailpiece, ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider any other renowned brand of higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!
