Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. T his beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and surely some marks in it´s old amber varnish due to its age. The table is medium to wide grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple. The violin has been completely revised by our luthier and checked on playability by our violin player.

It received new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!
