This is a nicely restored antique 4/4 violin, fiddle. There is a label visible inside the f hole:Josef Guarnerius, made by Adolph Adler, Sr , Dresden 1920. The violin was made in the reputable Adolph Adler shop in Dresden for export to the US. His is a quality handcrafted instrument. The violin has been restored and re-varnished.
There are some old, hard to see repairs on the lower right bout, and possibly on the ears of the f holes. They are completely stable and do not affect the beautiful sound or the play ability. Are some touched up scuffs and scratches, but other than these the violin is in excellent ready to play condition. The tone is great as is.
