This is a fully restored antique 4/4 violin, fiddle. There is an old label visible inside the f hole. Alexander Gaglianus me fecit Neapoli 17xx. This is most likely a German made copy from the early 1900s made for export to the US. The violin has been restored and is structurally sound.
There are some old repairs on the top deck: one coming down from the right f hole, and two more on each side of the tail end. The repairs are professionally done, completely stable, and have no effect on the beautiful sound of the violin. There are touched up scuffs and scratches, but other than these, the violin is in excellent ready to play condition.
It will get even better with new strings and regular playing. Dimensions are: length 14 and 1/8" width 8 and 1/8".The item "Alexander Gaglianus 4/4 Violin, Great tone, Ready to Play" is in sale since Sunday, December 19, 2021.
