Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely 18 place setting of solid silver cutlery of quite superb gauge and weight. This is a truly wonderful lot well worth owning and comprises 231 pieces in all.
The condition is fantastic and it looks seldom used. The hallmarked silver cutlery knives are by Walter H Willson also and dated London, 1962-year letter g. This is a lovely Antique lot and a must have. The canteen comprises as follows.

The weighable silver of the above 196 pieces is a staggering 11062 grams (355.69 troy ounces). In addition there are with flawless stainless steel blades and hard soldered silver handles. 17 dessert knives-9.125 inches in length-73 grams each. 18 dinner knives-9.5 inches in length-78 grams each. I estimate their actual silver weight at another 35 ounces.
All in all there is just over 390 troy ounces of weighable silver in this splendid and extensive set. These lovely pieces are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Pattern is most pleasing on the eye being FIDDLE THREAD double struck. All pieces are engraved SANTA MARIA to the front and always has been, definitely no erasures either.
The set belonged to HENRY FORD II and was specially commissioned for his Luxury Yacht named SANTA MARIA in 1962. I have also listed the matching set of 4 meat plates too!!! Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver, please do have a look.
