Carved wall trophy allegory to music. Possibly part of boiserie and later configured to present. Two cherubs or putti in ascension among violin, ribbon, and trumpets. Mixed woods, pine and fruitwood.. The strings on violin are recent and one is loose and shapeless.

Considerable charm with fine patina reflecting age, old glue residue, typical of previously giltwood items later stripped. Mottle finish with residue glue, gesso, dirt and grime. Wear, age and use and typical age factors.

Distressed overall from original condition. Height: 31.5 in (80.01 cm). Width: 21.5 in (54.61 cm). Depth: 5 in 12.7 c.
