Offer here is an antique/vintatge violin labeled Nicolaus Amatus Fecit in Cremona 1652. One piece flamed maple back, maple sides, spruce top. General expected cosmetic wear for its age and use. Some heavy wear at the waist edges (please see pictures). No cracks on the top or back that I see.
No open seams as it sits. Please note back chin rest has had some work at the bottom seam. Case is old but solid and probably not the original.
Strings will need to be replaced. This violin sat in a collection for 20+ years and was not played or serviced in that time. With set up and service it should make a nice player. Please contact me with any questions or for more information. The item "Antique/Vintage Nicolaus Amatus Labeled 4/4 Violin.
