Here is a nice old antique violin for restoration. There is no maker's label. Typical French design shop made violin from the 1800s. The violin has a one piece belly and two piece back. There are numerous cracks, or splits on the soundboard/belly of the violin.

Some of the veneer has come off of the side of the violin where the neck attaches. No cracks or repairs to the back to report to you. Some minor finish loss to the front and back of the violin.

The sound post is not in place, the beaks are mostly intact, some wear to the ends. The violin is still soundly glued together as are the sides to the soundboard and back. The graining on the violin, along with the varnish give it a great look. F holes are very intricately carved as is the scrolling at the top of the neck. Nice ebony key board on the violin with some deep ridging from where 4 of the strings made contact with it.

The end peg is missing but the 4 tuning pegs are in place. There is no label in the violin. The violin is 23.25" long in total, 14-1/16" long by the body, 8.25" wide by lower bout, and 6.5" by the upper bout.

Pictures are of the actual item for sale and form a major part of the description. Please study these as what you can see is what you will receive. So Don't Miss Out On Grabbing Yourself A Real Bargain.
