These copies were mass produced though, and still was probably made in the late 19th century. It would be wonderful restored, and I would still rather play this than a new thin wood instrument. The case itself is wonderful and out of wood. The bow needs much restoration and has insets of mother of pearl or abalone. Some of the horse hair is loose. I took pictures of the label. You can judge the date if you can see it I do believe this is late 19th century. As you can see the violin will need some restoration, bridge and strings, and the line crack in the wood, restored, but appears all original and is very solid with no structural damage, one line crack in the wood as you can see in my photos. The violin measures approximately 24 long.

This looks like the beautiful flame maple that I have read about online in certain parts of Germany or Czechoslovakia. The case is 31 inches long and quite heavy of solid wood. Original brass handle is still there with the hooks. It has a rest stop on top, which has sticky goey material as seen in my photo.
