T his beautiful violin shows old repairs which were revised by our luthier, but no open cracks or open seams, and surely minor marks in it´s old amber varnish. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple. Like always the violin has been checked by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received a repair on the top plate (see detailed photo), than a new set up with new ebony pegs, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.

These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!
