Interesting old German master violin 1st half 1800. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and only minor marks in it´s old varnish.

The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is deeply flamed maple. Like always the violin has been checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new set-up with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos.

In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Excellent old master violin in immediate playing condition! Great mature sound - Please see the video & listen to the sound on youtube!
