Nicely carved scroll and accurately double inlaid purfling with wooden inlays on the edges of front and back.

T his beautiful violin shows no cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!
