T here're neither open cracks nor open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 2-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. In our workshop it received new set up with ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece & chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid playing performance.

We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider any other renowned brand of higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin! Interesting old German quality violin in immediate playing condition! Like always the instrument has been checked by our violin player on playability.
