N o cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 2-piece back is beautiful bird's eye maple.

Additional to the accurately inlaid double purfling, the edges on front and back are beautiful decorated with wooden inlays. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthiers and our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, new soundpost, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance.

We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Total 59 cm / 23.2", body 36 cm / 14.17", vibrating chord length 32,5 cm / 12.8, weight 529 gr / 18.66 oz.
