T his beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, but surely some marks due to the age. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple.

Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, ebony tailpiece & ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance.

We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Fine old violin in immediate playing condition!
