French Violin, c. 1910 (ready-to-play) Antique, vintage, old violin

  
This is a French violin made in Mirecourt circa 1910. It is in fully playable condition with a professionally updated setup the bridge, soundpost, and rosewood fittings.

It is strung with medium tension Dominant strings but it may also do well with strings with more body to the sound, such as Obligatos. The tone is warm and responsive and will open up well with some good playing, which it hasn't seen in many decades. This violin is suited for an intermediate to advanced student looking for their first full-size violin and would make a good first instrument after renting.

As is typical with most French violins, the back is on the longer side, measuring at 363mm. Regarding condition, it is in great condition and fully playable. There are some minor cosmetic damage in the form of scratches and wear to the varnish. The violin does come with a chinrest.
