A house of great tradition and famous for making high quality instruments in Saxony. Violins are especially appreciated for their outstanding tonal quality.

Nicely crafted instrument with masterly crafted scroll and accurately inlaid purfling on front and back. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back - like ribs and neck - is maple.

The violin was completely revised in our workshop and received new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, elder ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!
