Late 1700s/18th Century Antique German violin 4/4. This violin bears no label, but is believed to be from the 18th century, probably mid to late 18th century, and made in Germany. The back is of two-piece maple, with a spruce front. Extensive repairs, to include a scroll graft, were done on this instrument. Arching is high and full, as is typical of many old German violins. The tone can be described as full, rich, broad, and deep. This is a great opportunity to possess a great sounding 18th century instrument at a great price. Own a beautiful piece of musical history! This violin was thoroughly inspected, though we cannot guarantee pristine condition due to its age.
