Fine old Austrian master violin Eduard Heidegger 1873. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Finely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. T his beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is narrow grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple.

The instrument has been checked by our luthiers and checked by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with new ebony pegs, a new bridge, new ebony chinrest & tailpiece, new soundpost and new strings.

These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin! Old master violin in immediate playing condition! Total 59 cm / 23.2", body 36 cm / 14.17", vibrating chord length 33 cm / 13, weight 521 gr / 18.38 oz.
