This authentical German violin is a remarkable copy of the great Italian master Joseph Guarnerius, a highly recommendable antique instrument built around 1920s - definitely superior to most other similar instruments from this time period, due to its exceptional quality craftsmanship and its rare mature sound.

The fine purfling extends accurately into the corners and shows the skill of a talented and experienced violin maker. Traditional applied varnish with transparent amber base. A fine old German quality violin - suitable for serious musicians. T his beautiful violin has been completely repaired in our workshop - see video of the restoration. And shows currently no open cracks or open seams.

It received a soundpost-patch and a new set-up with new ebony pegs, tailpiece and chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!

The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. Like always the instrument has been checked by our violin player on playability.
