Finely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. T his rare violin shows two re-glued lines on the lower right front, but no open cracks or open seams.

The table is fine grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple. The instrument has been checked by our luthiers and checked by our violin player on playability.

In our workshop it received new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, a new bridge, elder ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!

Good old German violin with great potential in immediate playing condition! Total 58,5 cm / 23", body 36 cm / 14.17", vibrating chord length 32,5 cm / 12.8, weight 489 gr / 17.25 oz.
