Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. There're no cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs, is maple. The instrument has been checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings.

These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Good old German violin in immediate playing condition! Total 59,5 cm / 23.4", body 36 cm / 14.17", vibrating chord length 33 cm / 12.99, weight 511 gr / 18 oz.
