& scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! A firmly repaired line below the right soundhole, but no open cracks or open seams. The table is a finely grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple.

The lower rib is made of a single piece of wood, as typical for Mittenwald violins. The violin was completely revised and checked by our luthiers and by our violinist on playability. In our workshop it received a new set-up with new ebony pegs, elder ebony tailpiece and chinrest, new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.

Mounted are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full sound range of this violin! Beautiful quality instrument in immediate playing condition!
