Interesting old German quality violin - completely restored in our workshop and checked by our violinist on playability. The table is a finely grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. Pegs, tailpiece and chinrest are ebony. Mounted are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full sound range of this violin! Beautiful quality instrument in immediate playing condition!
