OVH Wang Violin The Dancing Master's Violin Loose Label 2008/2011. W/ Unmarked Violin Bow w/ Tortoise Shell Frog.

Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself! You do not find nice used violins like this very often. Came from a large collection of a player's sale that we attended recently.

This Violin was made by OVH Wang of China. This is the Dancing Masters Model.

The violin was made in the 2008 to 2011 timeframe. The violin has a loose label in the case that provides all of that information. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this violin. Beautiful inlaid purfling on this violin. The violin has a one piece soundboard and two piece back. Nice golden brown stain on the of the entire violin. The violin looks like it is brand new. Was played as did find rosin residue on it.

Some very very minor finish loss to the body of the violin. Look at the pictures of the soundboard/belly very closely in zoom mode to see what we are describing. The tuning pegs, tailpiece, chin rest, and end peg are very well done on this violin. The back of the violin is quite intact and just beautiful. Some very minor finish loss along the edges from playing where laying against someone's shoulder.

Nice purfling on the front and back. Beautiful f hole, and scroll work. The corner blocks are in place. The fingerboard has some finish loss, but no ridging that would impede string play.

The four tuning pegs match. The soundboard and back are tightly glued to the sides, no separations to report. The sound post is in place. The maple back's finish has a translucent look to it when you view it, nice tiger striping.

The purfling appears to all be in place. The neck is securely attached to the body of the violin. No repairs to the neck, tuner box or tuner peg holes. No cracks or splits there.

The scroll on the end of the neck is very well done. The belly and back of the violin are still securely glued to the sides. Beaks show some minor wear.

The violin is 23.25" long, by 7-5/8" across at the lower bout and 5.75 across at the upper bout. The violin body is 14-1/8 long.

There is also a violin bow that is not marked. Has a tortoise shell frog that looks quite rich. Some very minor finish loss, no cracks or repairs. Faux leather and wire winding is in place.

Bow weighs 2.2 ounces and is 29.25 long. The violin is a canvas finished hard case that shows some very minor wear to the outside finish. The case also has a humidity gauge inside of it. Also, a clear plastic tube to hold extra violin strings Latches on the case work.

No key for the case. Case holds the violin very securely the way designed inside, see pic.

Nice silk like sheet to lay over the top of the violin as well. The violin will be securely wrapped in the case as well as on the outside to make sure it gets thru safely to you. That will be your choice to make. The violin comes with a tailpiece and the end pin is in place as well.
