Masterly carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. T his beautiful violin shows some former professionally executed repairs (patched from inside) on the front, but no open cracks or open seams.

Pegs, fingerboard, tailpiece and chinrest are ebony. It was checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability as usual.

In our workshop i t received a fresh setup with new chinrest and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance.

We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin! Beautiful old quality instrument with great potential in immediate playing condition! Total 59 cm / 23.22", body 36,5 cm / 14.37", vibrating chord length 32,5 cm / 12.79, weight 498 gr / 15.57 oz.
