Offered here is an UGLY Old Italian? (No Label) 4/4 Violin that is in very good condition.

The sound is BIG & WARM, evenly balanced on all strings and great in the higher positions. This pretty 4/4 has a lovely "1000 Tears, " flamed maple two piece back. There are the usual scratches, scuffs and scrapes to the varnish one would expect from a violin this age.

There are several repairs including regluing of the fingerboard and nut see pix... Only an ok job Because of that, the violin is offered at a price that won't break the bank! The violin really sings now!

The pegs match and work fine. The wood is tight fine grain spruce on the table and really lovely flamed maple on the ribs, back, neck. The inlayed purfling is real, not painted on!!!
