T his beautiful violin was repaired by our luthier (see detailed photo), and shows now no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. Mother-of-pearl inlays in front and back table, fingerboard and tailpiece. Like always the instrument has been checked by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new ebony pegs, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.

These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!
