I bought it from the estate of a former ambassador for the US in Virginia several years ago. It was his Uncle's violin and he played it in the nightclubs in NYC.
I had it completely refurbished by a luthier in Portland, Oregon and it plays beautifully. It has a deeper and louder sounds on the lower end of the scale. More mellow on the higher end. It's the perfect violin for a serious student.
Case included but not the bow. If you're local, we can arrange to meet and you can play it first. It is truly a beautiful instrument and worth every bit of the price. I've two appraisals and both were over 2k.
