This is a 1978 Ibanez Artist 2618 Electric Guitar. 24.75" scale, 1.70" nut width. 91 1st - 12th fret neck depth. Introduced in'76 at the famous FujiGen factory in Japan. Featuring a carved maple top with cream binding, on a double cutaway mahogany body mated to a set maple neck, housing a 24 fret, bound ebony fingerboard The mahogany/maple combo, plus the heavier weight, plus the brass Gibraltar bridge, brass sadles, and brass/bone nut boasts tons of great warmth, good balance, natural resonance, incredible tone transfer, all the midrange push you could wish for, and sustain for days!
All the depth, brightness, articulation, and everywhere in between Grabbin' up all this delicious tone are a pair of Super 80 "Flying Finger" pickups. I was able to photo one, while the other one is attached to the body - hey, some extra sustain!
This Artist is in good overall condition. Just professionally setup, the neck is straight and the frets are clean. Typical marks/scratches from normal use.
Some buckle rash, and some areas where the binding is beginning to slightly crack. Grover tuners were installed at one point in its life. Please carefully look through all of our detailed photos for a better visual description.
