Vintage Greco VB700 Violin Bass Sunburst 1975. Undoubtedly one of the most interesting takes on the classic violin bass we've seen lately.
This ultra cool Greco VB700 was manufactured in Japan in the mid'70s & features some serious emerald pearloid trim all over the bass. Traditional sunburst finish & gold hardware round out the package.
Fully inspected & set up ready to play straight out of the case. Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with only mild play wear - various tiny nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches & some tarnish on the hardware. Overall the bass has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina. Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with green pearloid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inalys & parallel lines. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Greco & floral inlays. Sealed-back tuners & zero fret. 1 9/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.Body: Violin-shaped body in sunburst finish with green pearloid binding & multi-layer purfling on the top & back. Spruce top with flame maple back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & 4-ply faux wood pickguard. Bass weighs a deligtful 6 lbs 1.3 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Greco-embossed pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls along with Rhythm, Bass & Treble slider switches. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
